Twittervision: My New Aquarium

Who needs fish when I can gaze at Twittervision? Dave Troy built Twittervision using the open Twitter API, and as certain users post new Twitter entries, they are displayed over a map. Every now and again, someone from the U.S. would say that she's watching TV or avoiding work.

I realize Twitter is as equally loathed as liked - and my interest in watching Twittervision will probably wane about as quickly as it did after a few hours of Second Life.
